Something New and Redeemable for the Conclusion of April - New Chapters

Moving,… forward, by faith...

…and literally and figuratively cleaning out the old, …

Then deep cleaning the new, (Like new wine skins for new wine. One can’t keep old routines in a new space. Additionally, I must adjust established and valuable mindsets for  - m o v i n g FORWARD - even more. Remember - Father God NEVER changes, ever! As His child, I change, grow/become more like Him - due to His grace and the journey). AND all the unpacking… While there are many who are kind and offered to assist me in this task, I prefer to “set-up” alone. Because it is indeed a process.

As I unpacked today - remembering my history that brought me to this point, (not longing for what was lost and gone, like the children of Israel as Moses led them out of Egypt). I surveyed the past as steps, that Father God walked me through. I was l overcome with so much gratitude and joy I could not contain myself and called my eldest sister to share about how in unpacking and re-configuring new from old, establishing new routines and reviewing what has been going on… I was/am simply so joy-filled. In truth it has been some time, (decades), since I have had such joy and being so FULL.

Eventually, I unpacked dishes I made some years ago… They are irreplaceable. Sadly, I was careless with my attention to the detail and care necessary and… two plates, two dessert saucers and two small tea saucers didn’t make the move… But out of brokenness comes new creations…

in time...

…Father God’s time.

This is what the potter’s field is about in Matthew 13:44. Jesus gave His all for the purchase of the potter’s field… filled with broken pottery from the potter - seemingly worthless pieces, broken…. I’ve broken other dishes I’ve made and attempted to glue them back together. Unless one is doing the Japanese art of kintsugi, (repairing broken works with gold filler), simple gluing doesn’t work well with pottery. But Father God sees the potential and knows the worth and so sees the value in broken things and gives His all to redeem and restore… us… me!

The devil thought he’d rob, steal and kill/destroy my joy - but not today satan-

Restored and repurposed

Soli Deo Gloria,

Nina
